Battalion 6 Chief, A-Shift
Chief Mayhall began his Fire Service career in 1995 as a Firefighter Reserve with Chino Valley Fire District. Chief Mayhall promoted through the ranks; in January of 2012 was promoted to Battalion Chief. Prior to his career in the Fire Service Chief Mayhall worked as an EMT for a local ambulance service. Chief Mayhall has 20 years’ experience in EMS, the last 15 years as a Paramedic. He holds an Associate Degree in Fire Science with Yavapai College, he’s attended ASU Advanced Public Executive Program, is a certified State of Arizona Fire Instructor I&II and has attended the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. Chief Mayhall is part of CVFD Wildland Response Group as an Engine Boss, Type 4 Incident Commander and a Strike Team Trainee. From 1998-2002 Chief Mayhall served as the Reserve Training Coordinator for the District’s Reserve Firefighters. Chief Mayhall served as a Training Officer for the Tri-City departments from 2009-2011. Chief Mayhall lives in Chino Valley with his wife Pam and their family.
