EMS Chief

Chief Niemynski started his fire service journey when he joined the Whitman Square Volunteer Fire Company in Washington Twp. New Jersey as a teenager. After earning an associate’s degree, he worked 2 seasons for the U.S. Forest Service.  He then went to work as a paramedic on a private ambulance company.  He became a reserve firefighter in May of 2000 for Central Yavapai Fire District. He started full time in July of that same year.  He promoted to engineer in 2003 and Captain in 2009.  He is a Hazardous Materials Technician, Fire Instructor, and EMS instructor.  He was an engine company Captain until June of 2015 when he took on the challenge transitioned laterally to EMS Captain as part of the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority.  In February 2020, he promoted to Battalion Chief in the EMS division.  He is also very active in wildland fire as a Task force leader and medical unit leader trainee.  He and his wife Shanna live in Prescott Valley with their two daughters.
